One day, there was a catastrophic event that caused all livingcreatures on Earth to die. To sort things out, everyone went to heaven.God came and said, "I want the men to form two lines. One line for themen who ruled their women on Earth and the other line for the men whowere ruled by their women. Also, I want all the women to go with St.Peter." With that said and done, the next time God looked, the womenwere gone and there were two lines. The line of men who were ruled by their women was 1,000 miles long, andin the line of men who ruled their women, there was only one man. Godbecame angry and said, "You men should be ashamed of yourselves. I created you in my image and you were all whipped by your mates. Look at the only one of my sons who stood up and made me proud. Learn from him! Tell them, my son, how did you manage to be the only one in this line?" The man replied, "I don't know, my wife told me to stand here."

The Big Lie

The Big Lie, first coined by Adolf Hitler in his 1925 autobiography Mein Kampf,was made famous by Joseph Goebbels, propaganda minister for the Third Reich. The idea was simple enough: Tell a whopper (the larger the better) often enough and most people will come to accept it as the truth. During World War II, the predecessor of the CIA, the Office of Strategic Services, described how the Germans used the Big Lie: "[They] never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it."
