"Betsy" Elizabeth Danheim, you will be missed

ELIZABETH "BETSY" DANHEIM, 43, passed away Friday, Jan. 30th while vacationing with her husband Eric Danheim in Maui, Hawaii. The two were diving near a small coral reef when she suffered a heart attack. Betsy was born April 26th, 1965 in Dayton Ohio and grew up in Houston, She graduated from Bellaire High School in 1983 and The University of Houston In 1989. She went to work as a correspondent for the Baytown Sun, became an editor of the Houston Press, and later went on to work for Microsoft Sidewalk. In Nov of 1998 she was married to Eric Danheim, guitarist for the Houston band "The Hollisters". Betsy later was employed by Amazon.com in Seattle, until the couple moved back to Texas in 2004. Betsy will be remembered by many as a happy, kind, fun-loving person who would always put the needs of others before her own. She loved Texas, Texas music, long road trips and her beloved dogs. Her bright blue eyes and glowing smile will be missed by many. Betsy is survived by her husband Eric, parents Ginger and Bill Bentz, brothers Martin, James, Jason and Richard.
